Why Train With Us:

  • Backed by Real-World Expertise: You’re not just learning to fly—you’re learning from pilots and instructors currently engaged in Alaska’s front-line helicopter operations.

  • Real World Exposure: MatSu Heli Training is based out of the Pollux hanger, so you will regularly get a behind-the-scenes look at what real life is like as a utility pilot.

  • Safety First: With MatSu Heli's deep commitment to maintenance standards and risk management, safety is embedded in every stage of your training.

  • Comprehensive Curriculum: From the fundamentals of initial training to advanced mountain and external load skills, we prepare you for operations in varied environments.

I had a goal to solo before leaving Alaska for the winter, and with only two weeks left, Pollux Aviation exceeded all my expectations! They went above and beyond to get me scheduled and help me reach my goal. Every pilot and instructor I trained with was knowledgeable, professional, and reliable. I’m so grateful to have found this team and can’t wait to continue working toward my license with them when I return in March!
